JPII Youth Indonesia is a Catholic Youth Community for Young Professionals to help discover, grow, and strengthen our Catholic faith. We believe that Christ calls to each and every one of us to draw closer and abide in Him, to live our faith and serve Him as we live out a modern Catholic lifestyle.

The vision of JPII Youth is that every young Catholic meet Christ and abide in Him, proclaiming the Gospel through their lives.

The mission of JPII Youth is to provide a platform for the youth to meet others in their Catholic life journey, learn more about the Catholic belief, and grow their faith.

We are a community of young catholics, with the majority ranging from mid 20s to early 40s coming from different backgrounds, but united in our faith in Christ. Our focus in on building a spiritual community whereby we can support one another

JPII Youth is part of the JPII Foundation Indonesia, the Indonesian Chapter of the John Paul II Foundation based in Rome.

We are also under the Jakarta Archdiocese's Categorial Commission since 2012, and are guided by Father Thomas Hidya Tjaya, S.J., Ph.D. as the Priest Moderator.

The John Paul II Foundation is based in Vatican, established by the Papal Decree from 1981 as a non-profit church organization with the objective of supporting and promoting initiatives related to the pontificate of the Holy Father John Paul II.

St. Pope John Paul II is the namesake and source of inspiration for the JPII Youth community. He strongly emphasized the importance of young people in meeting Christ, to carry out the symbol of love of Christ for humanity.

“Dear young people, let yourselves be taken over by the light of Christ, and spread that light wherever you are.”
